Put up with Annoying People

Daily "Words of Wisdom" from Apply Wisdom.comContinue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely even if anyone has a cause for complaint against another. Just as Yahweh freely forgave you, you must also do the same(Colossians 3:13).

Put up with one another:  This is sometimes hard because people can be so annoying and selfish. Putting up with someone doesn’t mean that you have to “like” them, but it means that you have to “love” them. “Liking” them might mean spending time with them.  And the bible tells us that we should only spent time with fellow believers.  But “loving” them means always being kind and watching for opportunities to witness to them (through our conduct or through what we say).

Forgive Freely:  When Jesus tells us to forgive someone seven time seventy times (Matthew 18:22), he is reminding us to forgive over and over. Even if someone is hard to put up with, we are required to forgive them. This doesn’t mean that we allow them to walk all over us. Perhaps you should simply avoid that person. But when you do meet them and they are silly or dumb or mean, then forgive them, show them love and respect, and perhaps one day win them over.

As Yahweh has forgiven us, we must forgive others: Yahweh’s invitation for forgiveness is always extended to us. Some take it and others don’t.  In similar fashion, our forgiveness must also always be extended to our neighbors.
