and make appointments of elders in city after city, as I instructed you: if there is any man free from accusation, a husband of one wife, having believing children who are not accused of debauchery or rebelliousness. For as God’s steward, an overseer must be free from accusation, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not a drunkard, not violent, not greedy of dishonest gain, but hospitable, a lover of goodness, sound in mind, righteous, loyal, self-controlled…” (Titus 1:5-8).

Baptism is done by a male baptizer who accepts the word of God and lives in accordance with biblical principles

Since the leaders of the true religion, as defined in the bible, are men, baptism must be conducted by a man. The baptizer must be a ministerial servant, elder (older man) or overseer. Baptisms by a woman do not count because no woman has authority over a man to preside or officiate at his baptism.

Baptism must be conducted by a righteous man with authority. This is common sense. Would you want a hypocritical man who molests children, doesn’t pay his taxes, and has no respect for the word of God baptize you? Of course not. You want your baptism to be done by someone who lives his life consistent with biblical principles. Not everyone in the bible baptized. John baptized many, to include Jesus (Matthew 3: 1-5 and 16-17). There is no biblical record of Jesus baptizing anyone. But Jesus’ disciples baptized many.

Your adult baptism by hypocritical or unqualified representatives of the Christendom means nothing. Being baptized into a denomination that prays to saints, worships statues and or Mary, celebrates pagan holidays, violates clear bible principles, and teaches false doctrine means nothing. Learn what the bible really teaches. And when you fully comprehend what this requires and means, get baptized (for the first time) to symbolize your new life serving Yahweh.
